Tragic Suicide of 11-Year-Old Student in Iran

MEK Iran posted on their website the news about the suicide of an 11-year-old boy, Mohammad Moussavizadeh, residing in Bushehr in southwestern Iran. The cause of this tragedy was poverty and because he could not have a cell phone to take online lessons. As MEK Iran states in the article, this tragedy once again shows the oppression, corruption and discrimination of religious fascism in Iran, which covers all areas of Iranian life.

 

“We struggled for two or three months, my son didn't have a good phone. We haven't had an easy life. I have a disabled child. I live in a rental. My husband is ill. I have several children. Mohammad wanted a phone. Our phone stopped working, there was no sound, it couldn't take a picture. He didn't say anything. His teacher would ask him to send him an audio file, to send a picture. We told his teacher it wasn't working. His teacher told him to tell him about that problem to his father and not him. This is our story,” said Mohammad's mother Rokna for the MEK Iran’s news website.

MEK Iran informs that Mohammad is not the only example. According to the official Hamshahri daily, on September 14, Mani, a 14-year-old student in Kermanchah, could not buy a cell phone, because his family could not afford it. To earn money, he became a porter. He was chased by agents of the regime, and in this chase, he died, when he fell over a precipice in the mountains.

As stated by MEK Iran, these unfortunate cases come at a time when, despite initial declarations from the clerical regime to meet requirements for free online education, including providing free smartphones and internet to students, officials predict a 36% probability of dropping out of school students due to poverty and the inability to obtain cell phones or tablets, especially in rural areas. MEK Iran shared the statement of the Kerman province rector on September 1, 2020: “Over 240,000 students in Kerman province do not have smartphones”.

“The catastrophic situation of pupils who are children of workers, especially in disadvantaged regions of the country, results from the criminal and predatory policies of the ruling religious fascism in Iran. While the vast majority of Iranians do not have the means to obtain the necessary masks and the minimum conditions to protect themselves from the coronavirus, the clerical regime plunders the national wealth or squanders it in its programs and missiles or in its warmongering to abroad,” stated MEK Iran on their Youtube Channel.

Maryam Rajavi Statements on Democracy, Women’s Emancipation, Mullahs and Islam

Maryam Rajavi is the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI). Ms. Rajavi has dedicated her life to restore democracy and freedom in Iran.

In 1985, she fled Iran and became a joint leader of the Mujahedin-e Khalq. Then she married Massoud Rajavi. In 1989, she was elected as General Secretary of the Mujahedin-e Khalq. Ms. Rajavi filled this role until she was elected President of the NCRI in 1993.

The topic with which Ms. Rajavi is particularly concerned is gender equality. Today, almost half of the members of NCRI are women. In NCRI, women occupy positions in international, political, social, and cultural affairs.

Democracy

Ms. Rajavi has said that freedom is the most precious value and that it is the very essence of progress. For the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), freedom is an ideal and a conviction. Freedom is the spirit that guides our Resistance. Ms. Rajavi points out that democracy is the main reason for their movement, and for the growth and development of the NCRI.

According to Ms. Rajavi, the reason why Khomeini interferes in all aspects of people’s lives, and leaves them no room to breathe, is because the world of this demon and his heirs is comprised of vengeance, obsession, and hatred.

“We must go among our people with a spirit of compassion and openness,” says Ms. Rajavi. According to her, people should be free and should have the right to vote and elect freely.

Women’s Emancipation

Ms. Rajavi points out that Iranian women must free themselves. She has stated that freedom does not come free, so it will not be delivered on a silver platter by anyone. In Rajavi’s opinion, relationships that are unimpeded by gender-based distinctions and discrimination should be built.
The path to liberation begins the moment you believe that no one can prevent the liberation of a woman who has chosen to be free of all fetters we all know too well. Men will also be liberated and become even more responsible, parallel to the liberation of women.

This is because, men who recognize women’s freedom of choice, and reject gender-based distinctions and discrimination first of all, liberate themselves.

Mullahs and Islam

As it has been stated by Maryam Rajavi, these demagogues commit their crimes in the name of Islam. This is a despicable and horrendous act, one of the mullah’s most heinous crimes.

As a Muslim woman, Rajavi proclaims that the peddlers of religion who rule Iran in the name of Islam, but shed blood, suppress the people, and advocate the export of fundamentalism and terrorism, are themselves the worst enemy of Islam and Muslims. “The day will come when they will be forced to let go of the name of Islam,” says Ms. R
