Civil rights activist Rezvaneh Ahmad Khanbeigi sentenced to six years in prison
On Saturday 2 February 2020, civil rights activist Rezvaneh Ahmad Khanbeigi was sentenced to six more years in prison.
The trial of civil rights activist Rezvaneh Ahmad Khanbeigi had been held a day earlier, Saturday 1 February 2020, at the Revolutionary Court of Tehran, chaired by the sadly famous Judge Amouzadeh, to examine the accusations brought against her by the Intelligence Department of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps.
Why is the regime on the brink this February?
February is the month used every year by the Iranian dictatorship to organize demonstrations and events to present itself as a stable and influential regional power, in an attempt to mask its illegitimacy at home and with the result of being increasingly isolated on the international scene.
WHAT ARE THE 2019 IRANIAN PROTESTS?
Thursday 6 February 2020 is the 84th day since the start of protests on a national scale in Iran.
The Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK Iran) has so far identified 724 of the more than 1,500 demonstrators killed by the regime.
Ms. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), launched an appeal to the United Nations calling for the urgent sending of an international fact-finding mission to visit Iranian prisons and meet detainees.
